The COVID-19 Exemption Policy has now been extended to the end of this year – December 31, 2021.
In addition, where previously schools had two weeks before or after their excursion to complete their digital excursion offerings, this has now been extended to three weeks before or after.
What does this mean for your school when planning your Canberra Trip?
To receive the PACER rebate your students must attend:
one face-to-face education program at any Mandatory PACER Institution in Canberra and;
two other programs at Mandatory Institutions either face-to-face or, where face-to-face programs are fully booked, through a digital program.
Each State or Territory has their own COVID restrictions in place so you must adhere by your State government health advice when planning your trip.
This policy will remain effective until all schools committed for travel up to and including 31 December 2021 have acquitted their travel. Adjustments to this policy may be made in light of easing or tightening of restrictions across Australia.
